The Hino Cryptomeria (Cryptomeria japonica 'Hino') is a rare dwarf cultivar with compact foliage, exceptional branching habit, and distinctive globose form, making it a standout choice for bonsai enthusiasts. Originating from Japan, this variety showcases elegant, needle-like leaves that naturally contort as they extend. Its slow growth rate and fine branching structure allow for a more relaxed development cycle than many species. To grow well, the Cryptomeria family (also known as Sugi or Japanese Cedar) prefers full sun and even moisture in its soil. All trees have been cutting grown from a nice specimen mother tree.
