These trees are an unnamed dwarf cultivar of standard green mountain maple grown from seed -- so no graft union! Characterized by very small leaves and remarkably short internodes, this species offers the perfect blend of responsive growth and several seasonal flushes. With its compact habit and refined natural proportions, it makes a fantastic option for beginners and experts alike.
Note that this species is deciduous and will not have leaves if shipped during the winter. The trees pictured are representative examples and will not be the exact trees you receive. Some may have wire for movement or branch placement.

Sizing Notes:
Small Starts these were cuttings rooted last year from pruning our prebonsai stock.
Regular Starts are about double the size of small starts and are usually 2 years old.
Premium+ Starts were field grown for a year and often have narrower caliper and less movement than prebonsai, but still carry great branching options.
Prebonsai have usually had lower chops for good movement and have better caliper and development than Premium+ Starts.
