The Higan Cherry (Prunus subhirtella) is a delightful Japanese species renowned for its blooms that begin in early spring and stay around for two weeks, while also sporadically producing flowers in fall. Blooms take the form of clusters of soft pink or white flowers, creating a breathtaking display. Native to Japan, the Higan Cherry tree thrives in well-drained soil and prefers a sunny location to maximize its flowering potential. Its small, serrated leaves provide a lush backdrop to the blossoms, transitioning to a warm golden hue in the autumn.

Note that this species is deciduous and will not have leaves if shipped during the winter. The trees pictured are representative examples and will not be the exact trees you receive. Some may have wire for movement or branch placement.
