Corkbark Elm is a standout species for bonsai, prized for its uniquely textured bark and tiny leaves. These starts are quite vigorous, but offer that signature twiggy growth. What truly sets Corkbark Elm apart though is its distinctive rough, plated bark that develops around 4 years old, lending an aged, natural aesthetic. Like other elms, it responds exceptionally well to bonsai techniques such as pruning and wiring, allowing you to create virtually any desired style. All trees have been cutting grown from an exceptional specimen mother tree.

Note that this species is deciduous and will not have leaves if shipped during the winter. The trees pictured are representative examples and will not be the exact trees you receive. Some may have wire for movement or branch placement.
