Japanese Snowbell (Styrax japonica) is a truly unique deciduous species for bonsai. Naturally zigzagging branches and fine, twiggy growth patterns are are home to pendulous, white bell-shaped flowers in Spring. Native to Japan, the Snowbell has beautiful gray bark from a young age and responds will to nearly all bonsai techniques. A lesser known gem that's well worth having in any collection. All sizes have been pruned at least once to promote branching and most all have been root pruned.
Note that this species is deciduous and will not have leaves if shipped during the winter. The trees pictured are representative examples and will not be the exact trees you receive. Some may have wire for movement or branch placement.

Sizing Notes:
- Regular Starts usually have narrower caliper and less development. They have been cut back substantially and some may just be developing branching.
- Premium Starts are a year older with the associated increase in caliper and development.
- Premium+ Starts have the best caliper and development. They have been pruned at least one additional time and many have been wired at times as well
