Kiyohime Japanese Maple is a highly sought-after dwarf cultivar and one of the few cultivars that works well for bonsai. Its naturally compact growth and small, delicate foliage grows slowly compared to cultivars, making it particularly suited for shohin and mame sizes. The cultivar displays stunning seasonal color transitions, from bright yellow-green with red tips in spring to deep green in summer before closing out with a vibrant orange and bronze in autumn. These trees all originated as cuttings from one of our specimen mother trees at the nursery, so there's no graft union to contend with.

Note that this species is deciduous and will not have leaves if shipped during the winter. The trees pictured are representative examples and will not be the exact trees you receive. Some may have wire for movement or branch placement.
