Korean Hornbeam (Carpinus coreana) is one of the finest natural bonsai subjects, renowned for natural growth patterns that seemingly sculpt themselves into bonsai forms. Grown from a trusted seed source, these healthy starts develop smooth, silvery bark when mature, providing a stunning aesthetic contrast to the unique rippled foliage that reduces to scale. Native to Korea and China, this hardy species thrives in both sun and partial shade.
