Littleleaf Linden (Tilia cordata) is a cold-hardy species native to Europe and western Asia. Also known as small-leaved lime, the tree's fleshy wood provides exceptional branch flexibility, allowing for dramatic bends and expressive styling. Though naturally larger, the heart-shaped leaves reduce remarkably well through proper bonsai techniques, creating proportionate foliage displays. Still, it is well suited for medium to large bonsai compositions.
Note that this species is deciduous and will not have leaves if shipped during the winter. The trees pictured are representative examples and will not be the exact trees you receive. Some may have wire for movement or branch placement.
