Mikawa Yatsubusa Seedlings

These specimens are your standard Japanese Maple, but with a twist -- they are grown from Mikawa Yatsubusa parent tree and have inherited the short internodes and layered leaf patterns! Ultra slow-growing and very hard to find, these offer all the benefits of Mikawa Yatsubusa for bonsai styling, but without the graft union. 

Note that this species is deciduous and will not have leaves if shipped during the winter. The trees pictured are representative examples and will not be the exact trees you receive. Some may have wire for movement or branch placement.

Sizing Notes:

• Small Starts are 1-2 years old, with narrower caliper. They were seedlings from last year's crop and may not have branching yet.
• Premium Starts have thicker trunks, more development, and are 3-4 years old.
• Medium Prebonsai are 5-7 years old field grown material, and have the best trunk caliper and movement. They are in plastic training pots.
