Rosebud Cherry (Prunus x subhirtella 'Autumnalis Rosea') brings exceptional ornamental value to bonsai collections through its distinctive flowering habit and robust branch structure. This Japanese cultivar of Higan Cherry produces mass clusters of semi-double pale pink blooms in April, creating a spectacular spring display when positioned in full sun locations. The dark brown branches provide excellent contrast against the delicate flowers while offering strong structural foundation for bonsai development. The semi-double flower form distinguishes it from single-flowered varieties, while its reliable blooming performance makes it particularly rewarding for those seeking consistent seasonal interest in their bonsai collection.
Note that this species is deciduous and will not have leaves if shipped during the winter. The trees pictured are representative examples and will not be the exact trees you receive. Some may have wire for movement or branch placement.
