Trident Maple - Twisted/Wired

Trident Maple (Acer buergerianum) is undoubtedly one of the most popular deciduous bonsai species – and for good reason. With its vigorous growth and adaptability to various styles and climates, the Trident Maple excels in creating magnificent bonsai compositions. These starts were wired up for movement in their first year of growth so the trunks have wonderful, dynamic visual interest.

Note that this species is deciduous and will not have leaves if shipped during the winter. The trees pictured are representative examples and will not be the exact trees you receive. Some may have wire for movement or branch placement.

Sizing Notes: 

• Regular Starts usually have narrower caliper and less development. Whips were wired up last season and top pruned a tad. Bends are mostly set and good to go!
• Premium Starts are a year older than regular starts. They have been pruned at least one additional time.
